Hi,

recent days here in Slovenia have been extremely rainy with quite
widespread flooding, which is very unfortunate, however useful for
testing KORUZA.

Yesterday at midnight units at IRNAS deployment [1], koruza-2a and 2b
were aligned to the maximal optical power, due to the constant
temperature during the night no miss-alignment was present. Between
about 3.30 and 5.00 local time there was heavy rain-fall of about 15l
per hour rate, which has caused an obvious attenuation of the signal for
about 3-4dB.

The cause of this may be loss in the optical path as well as other
effects, such as water droplets on the lens or similar.

A more in depth investigation with raw measurements will be undergone as
a part of the World Wide Experiment that is starting in October.

Kind regards,
Musti
